Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-03-18

This Privacy Policy explains how Hear Here LLC (“HearHere”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our voice-based communication services.

1) Overview and scope

This Policy applies to information collected through https://hearhere.io, the HearHere applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.

2) Information we collect
  • Account information provided via identity providers (e.g., OAuth providers used for authentication).
  • Billing information for paid subscriptions, which may include billing address and phone number.
  • Audio recordings you upload and transcripts derived from those recordings.
  • Emoji reactions, timestamps, and interaction metadata.
  • Optional metadata you provide, such as titles, priorities, topics, or location.
  • Basic operational data (logs, device/browser signals) needed for security and reliability.

Account authentication may be handled by third-party identity providers. These providers process login credentials and identity data solely for authentication and do not have access to user audio, transcripts, or application content.

3) How we use information

We use information to operate and improve the Services, including to:

  • Enable conversations and playback between permitted participants.
  • Generate transcripts, translations, and other accessibility features.
  • Provide analytics and visualizations (e.g., emoji usage, engagement patterns).
  • Maintain safety, security, abuse prevention, and system integrity.
  • Improve product features, performance, and user experience.
4) Audio Processing & Transcription

HearHere processes audio recordings to generate transcripts and enable core product functionality.

  • Audio recordings are stored securely within HearHere's infrastructure.
  • Transcription is performed using speech-to-text models operated entirely within HearHere's systems configured for consistent, non-generative transcription.
  • No audio is sent to third-party services for transcription, analysis, or processing.
  • No external vendors or APIs are used in the processing of audio or transcript data.
  • Audio recordings and transcripts are used solely to provide and improve core application functionality.

HearHere uses machine learning to convert audio into text.

  • These models are deterministic and do not generate new content beyond transcription.
  • Any errors in transcription are accidental, and you may update the transcript to accurately reflect your words.
  • User audio and transcripts are NOT used to train or improve machine learning models without your explicit consent.
  • User audio and transcripts are NOT used for generative AI training or external model development.
5) Data storage

We store and process data solely within infrastructure controlled by HearHere and its hosting provider.

  • Audio recordings are stored in secure object storage systems.
  • Transcripts, user data, and metadata are stored within managed databases.
  • Temporary and session data may be stored in secure in-memory cache systems.
  • System logs and operational data are stored for monitoring and security purposes.
6) Content visibility, algorithms, and endorsement

Content visibility depends on user-selected settings, conversation membership, and access controls. We make reasonable efforts to respect these settings and to label them clearly, but users are responsible for configuring access appropriately.

We do not endorse user content. Any highlighting, ordering, or surfacing of content by automated systems does not reflect our views and occurs without editorial review.

Some content may be public in the future if users choose to publish it publicly. Private content is not intentionally made public.

7) Monetization, advertising and third-party data sharing

HearHere generates revenue through user subscriptions. We do not display third-party advertising of any kind. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for advertising, analytics, or data brokerage purposes.

We may rely on infrastructure providers (such as hosting, storage, and authentication providers) solely to operate the Service. These providers process data only as necessary to provide infrastructure and do not use it for their own purposes.

We may explore creator partnership models in the future. Interested creators should contact support@hearhere.io.

8) Scraping and automated access

Automated scraping, harvesting, or bulk extraction of content or data from the Services is prohibited without our prior written permission.

Multiple accounts are permitted unless used to evade safeguards, abuse the Services, or violate applicable law.

9) Children and age restrictions

The Services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Accounts are created using OAuth and providers that impose their own age requirements.

If you believe a child under 13 has used the Services, contact support@hearhere.io.

10) Data security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No system is completely secure.
